For a Poetry Professor, Insisting I Not Think Before I Write About ‘Syllables, Oysters and Mangos’Posted: April 8, 2011
Syllabic stylings of mucosa membranes come,
give no warning as the pernod sun blooms
blossoms above the mango guns
that pointed give to tree-lined shrubs
their polyamorous shrugs.
Perfect in the ink and crunching in the mud
the juice runs freely
and gives teeth something to love.
